I have never really been
A very happy person
I always looked at the worst
And thrived on being miserable
No one would give me the chance
To just be me
And let me pour out my soul
Until by some chance
I ran into you
And you are a friend that is true
I have told you things
That have made others turn and run
But you stuck by
And gave me a long distance shoulder
On which to cry
So thank you
For being my friend
A friend that I so needed
